Dirr's Shade Vine Recomendations
I tried almost all the States on the search engine provided but no source came up. This vine has a reputation as being a bit of an invasive monster, and it is very vigorous.
Help identify this vine!!Please!
Can anyone tell me what this vine is? I may have planted it but I don't know for sure. It has little hairs all along the stem that help it stick to things...not suckers but little hairs.

Has anyone grown cardinal climber from seeds? Are they hard to grow and to they get real high? Are they like morning glories and get out of control? Unless you continuously maintain it, I would select a different plant.

When planting shrubs and trees in North Carolina, consider selecting varieties that are known for producing spectacular fall color. Organic fertilizers used by Colorado gardeners provide a safe, effective and responsible alternative to the use of commercial fertilizers.

Vine-X Vine and Brush Control
Vine-X is a new herbicide product designed to kill tough woody plants such as poison ivy. Vine-X allows the home gardener to eliminate vines and brush without any of the problems associated with conventional herbicide products.

Squash Vine Borer
The squash vine borer is the larvae of the vine borer month (Melittia cucurbitae). In May, June or early July or just as squash is beginning to flower in your area, the adult moth lays eggs on the stems, usually within six inches of the ground. The moth is 1 to 1 and 1/2 inches across at the wings.

Preventing Squash Vine Borer
Plant squash by seed in July so when the plants are up the adult borer is gone from the area. To significantly reduce your garden's squash vine borer population over a 2- to 3-year period, use the crop cleanup trick.

Solutions for Squash Vine Borer
The moth or adult of the squash vine borer is attracted to the color yellow, according to the Mother Earth News. Another strategy is to cover each of the stems up about 10 inches from the soil level with aluminum foil or with pieces of nylon stockings.
