landscaping for El Paso, TX
I am in dire need of information re: what grows out here in West Texas. Backyard has two smallish trees in flower bed. They can teach you about soil and water requirements and provide solutions that will be successful.

Delphinium
Their tall, stately flower spikes dominate flower beds and borders in early summer. Technically perennials because they survive winters and bloom in successive years, many delphiniums actually last only 2 or 3 years.

Buckeye
When you think about Buckeye trees you need to include the Horse Chestnuts as they are all in the same Aesculus family. Kids and many grown men have been to known to keep buckeye or horse chestnut nuts in their pockets as a lucky charm.

Creeper, Virginia
Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) Creepers are climbing woody vines that enhance residential landscapes as they splash over walls, stretch across fences and clamber up trellises. Virginia creeper grows by means of tiny rootlets arranged along its stems which attach it directly to the tree, wall or other support.
