Culinary Herbs
While we will be adding many herb plants to this list over the next year, here are some very common and easy-to-grow culinary herbs to spruce up many dishes.

MYKEŽ for Vegetables & Herbs
It ensures an abundant and bountiful harvest of superior quality. It contains mycorrhizae on a natural fine granulated carrier (compost and peat) providing a good seed germination environment. The product should be placed as close to the roots or the root zone as you can so the roots can be colonized by the fungus in the product.

History is full of wonderful plants grouped under herbs. Herbs grow best in well-drained soil rich in compost in sun. Don’t over fertilize them as they oils will be greatly reduced. Check with your county extension service in the south to see what herbs do better with light shade.

Herbs in Everyday Cooking
A. Figuring out how to use fresh herbs is as easy as a trip to your pantry or spice rack. Plants in my garden which I consider indispensable in cooking include the following: Basil - Over 200 varieties with sweet basil being the most common; wonderful with fresh tomatoes and a sprinkling of freshly grated Parmesan cheese; a must for tomato sauce; the main ingredient for the wonderfully green and garlicky sauce - pesto (heaven on earth!).
