Quince, Flowering
Flowering Quince spends most of the year as a shrubby tangle of branches and non-descript foliage. Its bare thorny branches are covered with brilliant 1 1/2 to 2 inch usually red blossoms and offers up a delightful fragrance.
Almond, Flowering
Many flowering trees, both ornamental and orchard types, belong to the same diverse family of trees that bear stone fruits. Size: While nut producing almond trees will grow as tall as 25 feet at maturity and spread approximately half that distance, the ornamental flowering almonds may reach only 5 to 8 feet tall and spread 3 to 8 feet, depending on the type.
Plum, Flowering
There are many types of plum trees and they are usually grouped by their place of origin. The single or double fragrant flowers appear on the branches in clusters of 2 or 3 before the leaves emerge.
